Why, God?: Worshipping Through the Storm

Sometimes worship isn’t easy. When everything seems to be going wrong and falling apart, when you find yourself in a dark place, when you’ve experienced pain, heartbreak, loss – in those moments, having a heart of worship can seem impossible. All you want to do is question God. You want to know why.

If you’re struggling with bad times, with hard times, remember that you are NOT alone. God is with you, and He has a purpose for what you’re going through. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
We cannot see His plan, but in the times that life is dark and you can’t see how your situation can be worked out for your good, remember that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).

So, hold on. When you’re struggling, cling closer to the one constant: our unchanging God. He promised to never leave you or forsake you. Hold on to that promise, and praise Him through the storms this world throws at you. You’re greater is coming, and your struggles are going to help you get there.
